Committees

FACL has several standing committees including Book Sale, Communications, Membership, and Fundraising. You can help FACL serve the Amador Public Library system as much or as little as you'd like. You can take on a one-off project that you can do at home, a continuing project, and even a membership on our working board of directors. We have a lot of great ideas – and you probably do, too!  If you'd like to help us turn them into reality, use our contact form or call us: 209-217-1911. Thank you!

Book Sale

FACL puts on two three-day book sales each year. Opportunities include cashier, fluffer, setup, teardown, food, volunteers manager, membership table, check-in, and more.

Communications

This committee helps FACL keep in touch with our members and with the public. Your ideas and your experience in any or all of these will be invaluable: social media, Constant Contact email, publicity, design, writing, newsletters.

Membership

This committee manages our membership databases, renews past members, and processes new memberships. Requires knowledge of Excel and Constant Contact and a willingness to handle money.

Fundraising

It's simple: The more money we can raise, the more ways we can help the Amador Library. Ideal for you if you have experience with putting on events, applying for grants, or any other fundraising background.

Other ways to help

Book Donation Pickups: We pick up book donations by appointment from people with health or mobility issues who can't bring their books to the our Book Room. You will need the ability to lift and move multiple boxes of books.

Amador County Jail: We donate mass market paperbacks to the Amador County Jail 4-6 times a year. The books are boxed and ready to go.

Nonprofit Thrift Stores: We also donate books that we can't sell to our local nonprofit thrift stores.

If you would like to get involved with helping to support our library, please use our contact form or call us: 209-217-1911. Thank you!
